Over the weekend of 3rd and 4th December, a team from Wirral travelled to Sovereign Judo Club for the annual Staines Team Competition, which we had won for the previous 5 years.

1st: Wirral with 3 team wins, 41 individual wins and 407 points

2nd: Sovereign with 1 team win, 1 team draw, 24 individual wins and 240 points

3rd: Dorking with 1 team win, 1 team draw, 24 individual wins and 228 points

4th: Staines with 0 team wins 6 individual wins and 55 points

All the players put on a fantastic display of judo and sportsmanship with some very good contests. This is the narrowest margin between 2nd and 3rd place since the contest began 6 years ago.

The previous night there was a party for Sovereign junior club members and the Wirral team. This was very well attended and enjoyed by everyone.

Below are some photos from the weekend.
